"It is..." Braise peeked over Ari's shoulder, accidentally brushing up fully against the soft angel wings. They were pretty and kept attracting his attention. He wanted to rub his cheek against them but figured that'd be taking it too far... Instead he brushed at Ari's hair, liking the scent that came off of the boy. It was completely Ari and not something one usually encounter in In Between.

Ari smiled shyly when Braise brushed his hair. It was a nice feeling, being touched so gently by some one you knew cared. After a while of watching out the window, when the trees had become more scarce until disappearing completely to become feilds, the angel spoke up again. "Braise?" he said softly. He kept his eyes on the scenery. "What is a catering service?" he asked softly. The boy had never heard of that before.

Braise kept over his shoulder, reaching over Ari to tap at the glass, just to distract himself from acting on any of the thing she wanted to do. "A catering service? I think.....I believe they make food for parties and stuff and stay there to hand it out. That's what I heard it was." He had seen the small sticker in the window reading Angel's Catering. No wonder the woman had wanted Ari for it.

Ari smiled. That didn't sound so bad. Maybe their new master would let them eat the food she made. It must be good food if she had a business. Who would actually pay for icky food? Then they could try some of that fluffy bread Braise was talking about!
They were approaching the city now. The angel studied the approaching buildings with wonderment. "Is that the city? A girl once said the city had lots of big buildings. Was she right?" he asked Braise.

"Yep, definately right. I've never been to the city, but i've heard the building are made completely of glass, and that the tops touch the clouds. Pretty amazing, no?" He though for a second, watching the building fly by, casting shadows into the car where once there had been sun. "I still prefer the forests....hopefully there'll be some trees where we're going."
There were a few trees, sparsely but neatly placed around the yard in a huge, mansion like house. Braise had never seen anything so grand, or anything he'd rather not live in. He'd be expected to stay clean, he knew that, not go outside and play, roll around. The wolf in him was still going to be supressed....

Ari studied the huge building they were getting closer and closer to. Until suddenly the car stopped, and they were parked in front of it. The yard looked nice. Nice, green grass and and a few trees. But he wished the building had been smaller. Like one of those cabins Braise had talked about before.
Their new master ushered them out of the car and started leading them into the house. Ari held onto his friend's hand tightly when they were out of the the car. "Look at the grass, Braise," he whispered. "I've never seen such green grass before. And the building. Is that where we're going to live?" he asked softly.

"I...I suppose so," he murmured, eyeing the woman as she came around the car, smiling brightly. No one smiled at them unless they were getting punished. He squeezed Ari's ahdn and pushed the boy behind him, eyeing the lady distrustfully. She only shook her head and contemplated them
"Wow....they've got you guys trained good or something. I'm not going to hurt you, if that's what you're afraid of. I couldn't beat anyone, let alone two children. Now, follow me and i'll tell you how everything's going to work out." Braise glared a little longer before deeming it safe enough for Ari to come out. "You," she motioned to Ari, "Are too delicate to carry things. Plue, everyone's going to be attracted to your wings. Therefore, you'll work in the kitchen with me. You," she motioned to Braise, "are going to be helping my other carrying boy. His name is Jauqe and he'll help you with everything, understand? Good, now the problem of rooms..." She lead them into the house and if Braise knew half of what the stuff was, let alone how much it was worth, his jaw would've dropped. Instead he merely looked around, not accustomed to such finery and kept Ari's hand in his.
They reached the kitchen and the woman called for the boy named Jauqe. Braise was surprised to see that he was a vampire, dark eyes and hair, pale as the moon skin. He smiled and his fangs glistened behind rose petal lips. He was pretty but Ari was beautiful. The wolf anthro moved closer to his friend, warning off the boy's attention.
((we got delayed ^_^ I'll probably be gone tomorrow >.>'''))

Ari stood slightly behind Braise and studied the vampire shyly. The house was so big! And it was filled with so many things. What he liked best about it though was that it was bright. Sunlight shone through the windows and when they couldn't reach a spot, their were fancy lights to so. It looked like there wouldn't be anymore dark cells with dim lights for them anymore!
He glanced around the kitchen. The angel had never seen anything like it in his life, but he knew it was where food was supposed to be made. There were a bunch of shiny pots and pans and ovens and other cooking things around. He didn't see how he would be much help in here, the boy knew nothing of cooking. But he didn't want to say anything in case the lady decided to send him back to In-Between.

"Okay," the woman looked between them when they didn't answer and motioned for Jauqe to show them to their rooms...or room, Braise wasn't sure which. It was so bright and cheery, he liked this house, even if it was too big and would be his confinement for who knows how long....The vampire smiled at them again and waved ahand towards a long hallway leading off the kitchen. Braise squeezed Ari's hand and led him through the hall, following the dark vampire.
The boy took them all over the house, down hallways and sweeping rooms filled with breakables and pretty things. He finally stopped outside of a mahogany door in a hallway lined with mahogany doors. "The roms are all adjointed to eachother," he murmured, his voice coming out like silk as he turned to them. "So it's pretty useless giving each of you your own rooms. But rules is rules. I only have one made up for now, she wasn't supposed to bring home two. Angel, this is your room," he pushed the door open, motioning for Ari to enter. Braise went with him, mouth open at the extravagence of the place. He'd never slept in a room like this and knew Ari hadn't either. The boy was going to love it, so much luxury and fine silks against his soft skin. Braise smiled down at him, squeezing his hand before letting go, letting him explore.

The room, which was now his he thought unbelievingly, was just as beautiful as the rest of the house. There was a bed with soft looking sheets and blankets, and nice window with curtains; plus a dresser and bedside table. A few pretty picutes were hung up on the walls too. It looked very fancy, maybe even too fancy. Pretty much anything would look fancy to him though after In-Between.
Ari turned his head slightly to look at Braise uncertainly before stepping into the room some more to look around. He touched the comforter on the bed lightly. It was so soft! The boy smiled slightly. It was really nice here. He just hoped there master would continue being this nice. Some pets said masters were really cruel to their pets, but the lady did not seem mean at all. And she was giving them each their own room, too!
Though he did think he would rather share a room with Braise. He wondered where the wolf boy's room would be. Hopefully not very far....
Ari turned back the the vampire boy, Jauqe, and Braise. "This is a really nice room," he said softly. "It-It's so fancy."

"It is," Braise smiled at Ari's open mouthed awe.
"A pretty room for a pretty angel," Jaque piped up, shooting a smug look at Braise. The wolf boy glared, daring him to say somethign like that again. "Anyways, for now, you can sleep on the cot in the corner wolfie," the vampire motioned to the tiny feather cot in the very, very corner. "I'll have your room made up in a bit....maybe tomorrow if I feel like it. I'll also come up and get you for dinner in a bit, so make yourselves at home." He bowed his head and then left, closing the door behind him. Braise sniffed before looking around.
"You should like it Ari, it's very, very nice. Comphy huh?" He grinned, glad the angel could experience this.

Ari looked up from giving the door an uncertain look. He wasn't sure what Jaque was up to, or if he was up to anything at all, but he was still nervous about the vampire. "Oh yes, it's very comfy," he agreed, smiling lightly. "It looks so perfect though, all made up with the blankets and the pillows... I would hate to mess it up," he murmured as he admired the the arrangement of pillows. They looked just as comfy as the bed! He couldn't remember the last time he had a pillow. Maybe he never even did. That could have been some one else he was thinking about.
He looked up at Braise uncertainly. "Do you think your room will be far away? I wouldn't mind sharing with you anyway, I don't see why it matters. There's no way I could use all this space myself!"

Braise shrugged, melancholy about being under the mercy of Jaque. For now, when they didn't know the house, they had to follow him. He sighed and smiled for Ari's benefit. "Well, seeing how he acted," he jerked his thumb over his shoulder at the door. "My room will probably be across the house," he grinned to show he was teasing. "If it is, i'll just have to come and stay with you. It doesn't really matter, I like you, and staying together would be best, hm? I wouldn't be able to use the space in my own room..." He wouldn't. Now the space outside, he could use, that wasn't hard. Only because he felt like he was free. Here, he wasn't.....Braise walked around, touching things and feeling blankets.
"You can touch...oh....come feel this Ari," he grabbed up a pillow, holding it out to the angel. The velvety softness tickled his fingers and felt so good.

Ari reached out to touch the pillow gingerly. When he felt how soft it felt he grinned. "It's so soft," he said happily. He started running his hand up and down the velvety pillow slowly. The angel glanced up from staring at the pillow to Braise. "Is this really all for me?" he asked softly. "It's hard to believe that some one would give all this nice stuff to just one person."

"Yep, it's all for you," he whispered, smiling. He took Ari's arm and slipped the pillow into his embrace. "She seems like a really nice woman, so she's a good master. Everything in this room is all for you."
