Raisa bit back a scream as pain seared through her body. She flinched when Tabor grabbed her by her hair and pulled her up to kneel beside him. The Werewolf growled hatefully at her.
"How disgusting," he grumbled, throwing her back to the ground, "You little whore! You bitch! You think you can get away from me? Where would you go, huh? Who would want something so revolting as you? You're lucky I can even stand to look at you, 'cause no one else will!" He leaned down over her form, which was curled into the fetal position to protect her pregnant stomach. "You understand me, you bitch?" Raisa whimpered.
"Y-yes..." Tabor growled and stood, kicking her in the back.
"Did I tell you to speak?!" he screamed, going to kick her again- only harder.
Raisa woke with a start, almost falling off her bed. She was sweating and breathing heavily. She placed a hand over her rapidly beating heart and let out a silent sob. Her hand moved from her chest to her cover her mouth.
It'd been three months, and she was still being plagued by these nightmares... or memories, rather. She shuddered and wiped the tears from her eyes, looking down beside her to find her young son missing. Had she still been in Kyroshin, she would have been worried, but she knew that Tobias was safe with Arul and Greil.
Raisa carefully climbed out of bed, being gently with her large stomach. She was due in two months, and she couldn't wait to be able to walk and move around without the hinderance, not that she didn't love the child within her; it was just bothersome. She quickly jumped in the shower, then pulled on the diner's uniform, before heading downstairs.
Just as she'd suspected, Tobi was sitting happily on the lap of Greil as the older woman was sitting at the cash register. Raisa approached the woman and nodded slightly, ruffling her child's hair.
"Hello, Nanna. How's everything going this morning?" Greil smiled lightly and shrugged, setting Tobi on the countertop as she stood and hugged Raisa.
"Oh, nothing too interesting's happened. Why don't you have a seat and work the register? I'm going to go help Arul in the kitchen." Raisa nodded and sat on the stool that the aged cat-anthro had just occupied.
