Rin glared up at the werewolf. It wasn't very affective, being as she was shorter than him. She arched her back up to make herself slightly larger.
People like him made her want to wretch. Calling the boy a 'thing' and even 'it'? How could anyone be so cold? Her girlish feelings emerged for a second. His hair was simply amazing. Such a cruel person could be this handsome. Rin snapped back into it. Even if he was good-looking, there was no excuse for how he treated the boy.
"No, I'm going to eat him," Rin stated sarcastically, "Of course I'm going to buy him! Why else would I be here? Can't you put two and two together?"
She crossed her arms around her chest. The thought did cross her mind that she had made a mistake of taking out her anger on him. What was he going to do about it?

When the female arched her back Kodak puffed out his chest and kept his cold eyes locked on hers. It was an animal instinct sort of thing; she tried making herself larger so, so had he. Had he ears atop his head and a tail on his rear like Nezzie did they would have been lying flat and stiff. Though he was still glaring at her with his eyes he mocking vocabulary made him smirk. In another situation he might have acted aggressively towards the speaker, but the weak appearing pet at his feet seemed like a far better target.
"Well that is unfortunate," he danced around the female and crouched in the grass next to the small fox-anthro. He crouched just close enough so that he could reach out and hold the boys chin roughly between his thumb and forefinger and yank the smaller male closer to him via jaw bone. "Because I would. Eat him I mean." That said he quickly flitted his tongue out of his mouth and over the boys cheek before returning it behind his sharp incisors. Kodak knew very well just how pretty he was. And he liked nothing more then to tease others with his attractiveness.
The morbidly pleased leer he gave first to Nezzie then the female beside them was chilling but all the more comical to him.

Nezzie watch silently as the two people standing above him silently challenged eachother. At the werewolve's words, Nez stiffened. Did the man really plan on eating him? That was disgusting! Besides, there was hardly enough meat on his bones for him to even be edible.
Nez held back a whimper when the man licked him. He was kind of glad he was sitting down because he could feel his legs going weak. He knew the man would probably hurt him, but what was new? Though... the lady, Rin, had only threatened him once, and she didn't even seem to really mean it... Nez was confused.

'How cocky... Does he really think that I'll back down? He's underestimating me, mentally and physically. So what if he's taller, he's still rather lanky. I've taken down things much more powerful than him. Why do I even bother... Oh yes, for him,' Rin analyzed the werewolf's mindset.
She continued to stare him down with her dagger-like ice blue eyes. 'You push, I push harder,' she thought.
Rin nearly flinched when the werewolf said he would eat the boy. She kept her composure, though. She had handled many threats, but this indirect threat made her feel a bit queasy.
"Keep your tounge to yourself, horndog. Really, don't you have someone of your own to flirt with? Oh, I forgot, you may have it going for you on the outside, but you have nothing but shit for brains. I'm sorry... I just gave you too much credit. Now, if you would, mind your own damn buisness," Rin said as she held the boy's arm.

Kodak heaved a heavy sigh and grabbed the arm opposite of the one the female anthro had taken hold of. "Oh I think that what is going on here is very much my business. You see I've been watching this one for far longer they you have. So I call dibs." By the end of his sentence the male was snarling. In some sort of alternate universe he might have cared or even noticed that his long fingernails where digging into the soft flesh of the boys arm or he might have simply walked away and left the pair alone instead of letting his completive nature take over his better judgment.
He had let go of Nezzie's chin by now an was slowly pulling the small boy closer and closer to himself by the arm he held tightly while keeping his eyes locked on the females. He was trying to imitate her by snarling and growling at her from deep in his belly and throat, but he made no further advances.

Nezzie jumped when Rin grabbed his arm and squeaked when the werewolf grabbed his other arm. He hadn't known anyone to ever fight over a pet before; he had no idea what to do. The workers that were near either stood to the side, watching, or were pretending not to notice. Nez winced when the man's long fingernails started to dig into his skin. It hurt, badly.
"Eh... Can you guys please stop?" he asked quietly.

Rin opened her mouth to bear her fangs. She hissed at the werewolf. 'Dibs? How immature,' Rin thought for a second. Her actions were just as immature as his. This matter would have to be settled in a civilized fashion. Though she didn't normally make a large amount of money, her recent pray had brought her into 5,000 gold, since she had brought him back alive.
The werewolf gave off an aristocratic aire. He probably had plenty enough to buy the boy. Rin could not let this happen. If she had to use all of the money she had, she would. She didn't want him to suffer. He was being hurt by the werewolf even before being purchased. Who knows what he would do to that poor boy. Could he even eat him?
Rin let go of the boy's arm and stroked his hair. "How about we listen to him. I'll settle this right now. Come, I'm buying you," she beckoned to the boy.

Kodak was well aware of the way he looked, his appearance said, 'I have tons of money and I like to spend it.' But it was the opposite that was true. Kodak didn't have tons of money. And if he did he would probably hoard it all to himself and spend it only to make his own life better. Anyways he wasn't about to start a bidding fight with the girl who was really beginning to get on his nerves. Especially with her new plan of coxing the boy to her side with these soothing words that sounded so feminine and soft when passing her lips that it made him want to retch. But rather then fight about it Kodak simply let go of the boys arm and stood back up with a bored expression on his face.
"Fine. Take him. He doesn't seem like he'd be worth much or the trouble anyways."
Of course he was lying. He wanted the boy because she wanted him. But with so many eyes on his back Kodak decided it would be better to settle this out side of In-Between.

Nezzie pouted. What was all that about?! First the man was fighting with Rin, then he was hurting Nez, then he suddenly just didn't want him?!! But... not that Nez wanted to go with him or anything... it just seemed really stupid.
Nez took one last moment to give the man a confused, slightly hurt look before going after Rin to follow her.

Rin displayed a very proud look as if to say 'Hah! In your face! I win! HAHAHA!' She really got into it and began to walk with a swagger. To top it off, she flipped her hair back. Maybe she was acting too cocky herself... Nah, you gotta have a glory moment every once in a while.
'I'm good, I always win. I'm sure he'll be back for another beat-down sometime, though. When he does, I'll just open up a can of whoop-ass.' she thought as she walked with her head up high.
She looked behind her left shoulder and smiled. Her smile became more of a look of concern when she saw the boy's expression. She thought he may need to be comforted by her. "Hey, don't worry about it. He's not worth getting upset over. Sure, he may have hurt you, but we'll get him back soon. Just wait...'
